The Power of Possibility: Rooted in People Strategy, Leading with Authenticity

“Walking into Alissa’s studio, I didn’t know what to expect, but I put my trust in an expert. Placing myself, my feelings, and my future image in her capable hands, my headshot experience was effortless,” said Vicky Perrin, a seasoned HR executive and DEI strategist. “When I saw my headshot, I was elated. My face was lit up, eyes shining—it encapsulated exactly who I am.”

That single image captured more than a moment; it marked a new chapter for Vicky, whose 15-year career in Corporate America was recently disrupted by organizational changes. In July 2024, her role was eliminated. But for Vicky, that ending sparked a new beginning.

“I took this opportunity to redefine myself,” she reflected. “I’ve been working diligently to develop both personally and professionally. For example, I’m currently diving into learning artificial intelligence—a critical skill in today’s evolving workplace.”

Vicky’s career has been built on a foundation of authenticity, transformation, and purpose. As Head of Culture and Engagement, she led groundbreaking employee experience strategies for a workforce of over 15,000 people. Her initiatives drove measurable results, including improved engagement and inclusion scores.

But her leadership extends beyond metrics. “Employee Engagement’s scope used to be confined within the four walls of a company,” she said. “Post-COVID, it became clear that employee experience is boundless. We learned so much about agility, empathy, and innovation during that time and the need to amplify diverse voices and fostering community.”

The past several years has also changed Vicky on a deeply personal level. “Losing both of my parents shifted my entire perspective. I could no longer take anything for granted. I had to embrace change, look at life differently, and evolve into the woman I am today.”

That evolution includes a recalibrated vision for her career. Having already attained her goal of becoming a Vice President, Vicky is now setting her sights on roles that allow her to maintain balance while leveraging her breadth of experience to drive meaningful organizational impact.

Throughout her journey, Vicky has remained passionate about building people-first cultures that celebrate inclusion, spark innovation, and deliver results. Whether reimagining internal communication platforms, leading cross-functional projects, or launching high-impact market engagement efforts, she is known for turning vision into action.

“Sometimes, even with all your achievements, self-doubt creeps in,” she admitted. “But then I look back and remember I’m a strong, capable leader. I’ve made a difference. And I will again.”

This period of transition has become an unexpected gift—an opportunity to pause, reflect, and realign. “My advice to others navigating change? Stop worrying about having it all figured out. Try new things. Go through experiences. That’s how you discover what’s right for you.”

When Vicky discovered Alissa’s work through All About Headshots, she knew she had to book a session. “Her images were stunning—vibrant, professional, full of personality,” Vicky recalled. “I wanted to show up as the best version of myself, and Alissa made that happen. My headshot became a visual representation of my growth—resilient, empowered, and ready for what’s next.”

In every way, Vicky is embracing what she calls “the power of possibility.” With deep roots in people strategy and a forward-facing mindset, she’s charting a course guided by authenticity, vision, and the courage to begin again.
